Contemporary extension to existing 1920's detached house.

A clear distinction is drawn between the existing house and the 260msq (2,800ftsq) extension. This is expressed within the design itself and the positioning / alignment of the new accommodation. A small glazed link block connects the two.

The extension is timber clad, with an inclined external wall and partially curved roof. Large areas of glazing allow visual and physical connections to the existing mature garden.
